Splash Wave // Le Podium #2: Splash Wave
Get yourself geared up for Splash Wave's first official vinyl release. Being released on Third Side Records, this new EP is the second release in the labels Le Podium EP Series. The first release was La Femme's EP Le Podium #1, so if that is any indication of the quality then this series if going to rule.
Now if you are unfamiliar with this French electronic duo, then this is a perfectly valid opportunity for you to make their acquaintance. If being sucked into a tropical 1980’s video game sounds like a good time to you then Splash Wave should be right up your alley. These guys love bright colors, and nostalgia, and looking at the world through pixelized glasses. Now where the skeletal structure of their music is firmly planted in the past, the flesh and blood is definitely a little more futuristic. How they manage to balance these two aesthetics is beyond me, but it works.
If want to hear more of them you can visit their bandcamp to stream some more tracks. You can also purchase the EP there either on limited edition pink vinyl or digitally.
