Cagey House // “Ron Pajama Ranger”

One genre that I have never covered here on Cactus-Mouth is jazz. But all of that is about to change when I introduce you to Cagey House’s new track “Ron Pajama Ranger”. Now this isn’t a straight up jazz track. It’s more like jazz meets pop meets a circus meets… film noir. There is alot going on here, and the whole track floats along on a wisp of cigarette smoke. It’s a quirky instrumental track that has a certain cinematic feel to it. Picturing this track in the background of an indie film requires no stretch of the imagination.

Now Cagey House is basically just one dude. His name is Dave Keifer and he is about as prolific an artist as they come. Recording under the name Cagey House since around 2005, he’s churned out album after album. And the best part is that these albums have all been digital-only and they have all been free.
