Jamming out to the absolutely fantastic new self-titled EP from another ‘mystery band’ Guards (no info on these guys other than 7 sweet-ass songs, a New York tag and a name). I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about them very, very soon. They’ve got a few rising stars featured in a couple tracks - Cults and Caroline Polachek from Chairlift - but even without these talented folks sitting in, the songs hold up somethin’ fierce. Decidedly fun retro pop. Highly recommended. And its free, y’all. Get it.
