It’s been a while since we last heard from Lizzard Kisses. But knowing Marc and Cory, they are never ones to have much idle time. They are always toiling away on something creative and their latest split 7” with My Friend Wallis is no different.
I’ll let the band explain to you what makes this particular release so special: Both bands made collages for their respective sides of the 7”, making each one unique and one of a kind. You can view all 35 individual record sleeves here. The clear lathe cut records were hand-pressed to a numbered edition of 35 and include typed inserts on vellum. The sleeves were sent back and forth between Brooklyn, New York and Vancouver, Canada over the course of a few months.
Cool, yeah? On top of that, the band’s track “Water Tap” is a smiling surf pop number featuring Jordan Lee (of Mutual Benefit) and Andrew Morehart (of Share-a-tories). Check out the full project and pre-order yourself one while you’re at it right here.

OK, so I was going to make another blog just for my artwork. But when I started to think about it I realized that making a Flickr account would probably be a heck of alot easier. Besides I already have Cactus-Mouth and A Taste of Blood to worry about.
On top of that, Tripp (from Cool Things I Find) and I just started a new label called Chill Mega Chill. So that is keeping me pretty busy too.

My friend brought me a box of probably 50-60 old NatGeos. I started salivating all over the place.
So I like using stars. I guess I just love the way they look.
Oh man. Things have been crazy. Alot of work. Deadlines. Whatever.

OK, in case you haven’t noticed, I am fiddling around with the layout of my posts. Things have gotten a little motley around here and this is my attempt to kinda clean things up. Also, in the past my posts have (more of less) revolved around free music. Now, my main thrust is still going to be free music, but I will be including some other stuff too. Hope you don’t mind!
I’ve not been able to collage much lately. But my friend just nicked a stack of old NatGeos from his dad and I’ve been in heaven. Expect more.
In other news, Halloween is 10 days away and I still don’t have a costume.
